Harrison North is led by its founding partners. Both are actively involved in client work — not in a supervisory capacity, but as the people who know your business, answer your calls, and are accountable for the advice you receive.

David North  |  Partner

David North is a partner and co-founder of Harrison North. He has more than twenty-five years of experience advising owner-managed businesses, and his work spans the full range of accountancy and business advisory services that the firm provides.

David’s particular strengths lie in tax planning and corporate structuring. He advises closely held companies and their owners on tax strategy, group structures, holding company arrangements, and management buyouts — working with clients to ensure that the right structures are in place for the long term, and that business decisions are made with a clear understanding of their tax consequences.

He also has considerable experience in the media sector, acting for animation and film production companies on matters ranging from company valuation, corporation tax and R&D tax credit claims to animation tax relief and the particular compliance requirements of the creative industries.

David holds dual professional qualifications as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Carole North  |  Partner

Carole North is a partner and co-founder of Harrison North, with more than thirty years of experience in accountancy and tax advisory work. Her career has been devoted to a single principle: getting close enough to a client’s business to provide advice that is genuinely useful, not merely technically correct.

Carole’s work encompasses the full range of services that Harrison North provides, but tax planning is where she is able to add the most tangible value. She specialises in close company and owner-managed business taxation — developing targeted, commercially grounded tax strategies that reflect the specific circumstances of each business and its owners. She handles R&D tax credit claims, tax investigations, and the broader range of business tax advisory work that owner-directors require throughout the life of their business.

Beyond tax, Carole works across audit, accountancy, business review, and strategic planning. Her clients tend to stay with her for a long time — a reflection, she believes, of the value of consistency and of taking a genuine interest in the businesses she advises.
